Welcome to our new year 6s, Elder Class of 2024.

In maths this week we are learning to read, write and understand numbers to 10,000,000; understand powers of 10.

In English this week we are focusing on the text ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. We are familiarising ourselves with the characters and plot, and writing character descriptions using similes.

In science this week we are learning to understand conditions for life.

Elder Class Newsletter Autumn 2023

Elder class enjoyed their first drama session with Annie from the Theatre Royal. They had great fun doing a ‘whoosh’ of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and making freeze frames of words relating to the story.

Elder class were very excited about their first reading session with Oak class. Due to the beautiful, sunny weather they could take their books outside to share. Elder class, you were brilliant – we were proud of you all.
