Elder Class 9th to 13th September 2024

Our learning this week:

In maths we are learning to position numbers on an unlabelled number line; round numbers to a given degree of accuracy (the nearest whole number, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand, million); understand and use negative numbers in context (eg using temperature).

In English we are learning to use relative clauses and parenthesis to give additional information; use subordinating conjunctions to join clauses within a single sentence; write a monologue in role as Malvolio.

In science we are learning to understand how we can group organisms.

Elder class had their first session with David from the Theatre Royal for our Shakespeareance Project. They really impressed us with their enthusiasm.

In English Elder class have been working on using varied sentence types to interest their reader.
