This week in Willow Class we
will be:
English: In English
this week we will be starting a new unit based on the book Journey to Jo’Burg. We
will be looking at writing informally – diary entries.
Maths: We will be starting
a new topic in Maths on Fractions. Our first week of lessons will focus on
finding equivalent fractions and converting fractions.
Science – Our new
topic this half term is Space, our first lesson focuses on the solar system.

In science this week we have been finishing off our lesson on gravity. Willow used Newton metres to look at the relationship between weight and mass. We then looked at mechanisms and set up a simple pulley system.
To finish off our history unit today we did some Maya inspired cooking. We made maize tortillas, guacamole and Maya hot chocolate which contains cinnamon and chilli! Yum!
