This week in Willow Class we will be:
English: In English we will be finishing off our film pitches for The Whale and beginning to look at writing non-chronological reports for The Water Cycle. This links to our topic on Rivers in Geography.
Maths: In maths we are going to spend the next two week recapping key learning and consolidating this. This week we will be looking at calculating the area of compound shapes, including those with missing angles, finding fractions of amounts and word problems.
Science – Our new topic in science is Lifecycles – our first lesson focuses on the lifecycles of mammals.
Big Question: If you were the Headteacher for the day, what would you do?

In Geography this week, I gave the children a series of pictures taken along the journey of a river. They had to try and order them from source to mouth. We also looked at the language of geographical features and tried to match these to the stages of the river. Can your child tell you any of the human and natural geographical features found along a river?
