Have a look below to see what we‘ve been up to this week:
A great start to the term with a trip to Redgrave and Lopham Fen – The class took measurements of the River Waveney – looking at width, depth, velocity, temperature and the surrounding habitat.
In DT this term we are looking at building bridges. Before half term the class began by looking at pillars and what weights they could hold. The experimented with different shapes to see which could take the biggest load. This week we talked about trusses. Can you child remember the names of the three types we discussed? We then played a bridge builder game to see what type of construction was needed to span ever increasing gaps.
