Willow Class, 13th – 17th October 2025

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In English this week, we will be finishing writing our final piece – a mission log for the moon landing. We will then spend the rest of the week doing some slow writing, generating vocabulary, thinking about the tone and purpose of the writing before planning and finalising.

Maths: In maths we are moving on to looking at fractions. Our first week focuses on simple unit and non-unit fractions. Then we will be looking at converting between improper fractions and mixed number fractions.

Science – In Science this week we will be looking at using smaller forces for bigger affects – gear and pulleys.

Big Question:  Why do people speak different languages?

Willow had a fantastic day for our Diwali enrichment day. They took part in Indian dancing, made rangoli patterns, made coconut ice, learned about the story of Rama and Sita, made diya lamps and took part in a fantastic Indian drumming workshop.
