Willow Class, 6th – 10th October 2025

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In this this week Willow will be entering the planning and
writing phase – this will be where they plan their mission log and look at the
writer’s knowledge they are going to include. Then they will be writing a
paragraph a day with time to edit and revise their writing.

Maths: In our multiplication and division topic this week we
will be looking at multiples, factors, prime number and square numbers.

Science – In Science this week we will be looking at using
smaller forces for bigger affects – gear and pulleys.

Big Question:  Do
animals have feelings like we do?

Have a look below to see what we’ve been up to this week:

In science today, we were looking at the affects of gravity on objects in the classroom. Willow used Newton meters to measure the mass and weight of different objects. Can they tell you what the relationship between the two things is?

In art their Maya inspired pieces are really starting to come together. Next is to add white patterns and then go over the main outlines in black  to make them stand out.

In PE, Willow were focusing on passing in netball and played some short games.

In music, Willow were playing “Ghost Parade” on the glockenspiels.
