This week in Willow Class we will be:
English: In English this week, we will be starting our new topic on The Firebird, which is an old Russian folk tale. The class will be looking at how the story is written before planning their own versions of the tale.
Maths: In maths this week, Willow will be looking at adding fractions, including those with mixed numbers.
Science – In our topic of Space we will be looking at how ideas of the solar system have changed over time.
In our class discussions this week we will be starting to focus on oracy skills.

In DT this week, we started our topic on British cuisine. The class sampled cheeses, breads and pickles as part of a traditional Ploughman’s lunch.
This week Willow went to Golden Wood as part of our Seed to Tree project. They learned about Willow, why it needed to be cut and then finally, to safely cut it using loppers.
