This week in Willow Class we will be:
English: In English this week we will be looking at analysing the class text and start to think about planning our piece of writing using role play and hot seating to generate ideas.
Maths: In maths we will be starting our second fractions unit – this time the focus is on multiplying unit and non-unit fractions before moving on to multiplying mixed numbers and finding fractions of an amount.
Science – In Science this week we will be doing our final unit on this short sustainability topic which focuses on global warming. This week we are looking at the effects of global warming on living things.
Big Question: What makes a place feel like home?
Have a look below to see what we’ve been up to this week:
In English this week we read some of our vehicle text – The promise. This centres around a dark city which is full of loneliness. A city in which teenagers and young children have to steal to survive. Willow class had a go at role playing in partners what this scenario might have been like. We latterly spoke about how the characters would be feeling at having to resort to such measures.
