This week, we have been learning....
P.E
This term in P.E we are focusing on gymnastics. We have been exploring different apparatus and how to travel across them. We crawled across the bench, rolled across the mats and jumped off the high bench.
UTW- Diwali
This week, we have been learning about Diwali. We talked about traditions that take place to celebrate Diwali and listened to the story about Rama and Sita. We read a story called ‘The Best Diwali Ever’ and was inspired by the rangoli pattern competition. We made our own Rangoli patterns using lentils. We designed our own Mehndi patterns and then painted them onto our hands. We moulded clay to create our own Diya lamps and once dry, we are going to decorate them.
Literacy
This week we have been learning about rhyme. We played a game called ‘Cake Bake’ where we made a cake but only with rhyming pairs. We added the rhyming pair objects and stirred them up to ‘bake a cake’.
