Next week, we are learning...
Literacy- Next week, we will be focusing on initial letter sounds. We will be listening for the initial letter sound in words and matching phoneme to grapheme.
Maths- Next week, we will be exploring sorting and sorting a variety of objects into different groups. We will also be comparing amounts and beginning to introduce the mathematical language ‘more’ and ‘fewer’.
Phonics- Next week, we will be continuing Phase 2 of our Phonics programme ‘Unlocking Letters and Sounds’. We are learning the phonemes i, n, m, d.
UTW- Next week, our theme will be ‘Our families’. We will be creating our own family portraits and talking about the different people in our families. We will also be discussing the different stages of growth.
UTW- We have been talking about our past this week by looking at our baby photos. We talked about how we have changed from when we were a baby to what we are like now. We enjoyed playing a game of ‘Guess the Baby’ with all the Acorns baby photos!
