UTW- Autumn
This week, we have been learning about Autumn. We talked about the seasons and how they change throughout the year. We talked about signs of Autumn and then went on a walk around the school grounds to see what we could see. We saw brown leaves, red leaves and yellow leaves. We found conkers, acorns and berries. We were looking for squirrels too but they seemed to be hiding from us today!
Maths- Repeating Patterns
This week, we have been learning about repeating patterns. We continued our own colour patterns and spotted the mistakes that Mrs M made. We also created our own ones using colour bears and autumnal objects.
PD- Baking Bread
We found out some facts about hedgehogs and decided to make our own hedgehog bread rolls. We mixed the ingredients together to make the dough. We kneaded the dough and shaped them into balls. We then created a pointy snout and spikes on it’s back using scissors. We added raisins for the eyes and the nose before baking them. We took them home to show our families.
