This week, we have been learning....

P.E

This week in our P.E session we were working on our ball skills. We warmed up with a game of ‘Stuck in the Mud’ and then we used the big balls to focus on bouncing. We learnt how to aim the ball to bounce in the middle of the cones and then how to catch the ball as it bounced up. We had lots of fun working in pairs to practise our bouncing skills.

Maths

This week, we have been focusing on teen numbers. We have been making teen numbers using ten frames, numicon shapes and cubes and ordering teen number numerals. We matched different representations to the different numerals.

UTW

This week, we have been learning about minibeasts. We talked about different types of minibeasts and read lots of information books to find out interesting facts. We went on a minibeast hunt in our outside area searching lots of different habitats to see what we could find. We found spiders in the wendy house, worms in the mud, woodlouse in the leaves and a bee by the flower!
