This week we have been learning....

P.E

In P.E this term we are doing gymnastics. We have been learning about different types of rolls and have been excited to attempt some forward and backward rolls. We have also been using our bodies to find ways to balance in different ways and practising these skills on different apparatus.

Maths

In Maths this week, we have been learning how to find one less. We learnt that it is the opposite of one more and this time we go down the number line. We used our knowledge of some favourite songs to help us with this maths concept particularly the songs 5 Little Ducks and 5 Speckled Frogs. We acted out the songs and showed one less using the ten frames and cube towers.

UTW- Remembrance

This week, we have been learning about Remembrance Day. We learnt about the significance of the poppy on this day and watched a video showing a Remembrance parade. We talked about the different parts of the military and what they do for our country. We challenged the Acorns to make a poppy picture using loose parts. The Acorns were really inspired and it was so lovely to see such unique creations. We also managed to make some poppy biscuits too which we enjoyed eating as a yummy afternoon snack.
