Forest School
This week, the Acorns took part in their final Forest school session. We enjoyed exploring the forest school area and took part in a variety of activities including hammock swinging, drilling, sledging, sawing and making elderflower cordial.
We discovered a rather large hole and discussed in great depth what animal possibly could have made it!
Art
This week, we focused on the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. We looked at his work and discussed what we could see. He was famous for painting portraits of people using food for their features. We had fun spotting all the different types of food we could see in his portraits. We decided to make our own versions of Arcimboldo’s pieces of art and made portraits using a variety of fruit and vegetables.
