Literacy– Next week we will drawing our plans and writing words to retell a part of our story ‘Look Up’ by Nathan Byron.
Phonics- Next week, we will be continuing our Phase 3 Phonics. We will be introducing and learning how to recognise and say the digraphs ai, ee, oa, igh as well as developing our segmenting to read skills and our use of whiteboard time. We will also be practicing our common exception words ‘we have learnt so far and learning the CEW’s ‘was’ and ‘you’
Maths – Next week we will be exploring and learning how to find, subitise and represent the numbers 4 and 5..
Topic/UTW– Next week we will learning all about astronauts!
This week we have been learning…
Maths – This week we have been learning about circles and triangle and discovering the properties of each shape. Acorn class were fantastic at finding those shapes in our environment.
UTW/Topic – This week we have been learning about our Solar System and the planets in it. The children have been very excited by this topic!
Literacy – Acorn class really enjoyed our book ‘Look Up!’ by Nathan Byron. They have been brilliant at learning their new vocabulary as well as sequecing the story using our Story Friends.
Phonics- This week we have continued our Phase 3 Phonics. We will be introducing and learning how to recognise and say the sounds ch, sh, th, ng as well as developing our segmenting to read skills and our use of whiteboard time. We will also learnt the CEW’s ‘he’ and ‘she’.
