This week, we have been learning….

Maths

This week, we have been learning about how to compose, de-compose and manipulate shapes. The children have been able to use their positional language to describe where a shape is placed, learning how to rotate and make shapes fit in a tangram picture. The children have also been fantastic at revising their knowledge of 2D and 3D shapes.

Literacy

This week, we have been writing our predictions for what type of dinosaur were in our special dinosaur eggs!

UTW- Dinosaurs

This week, we have enjoyed exploring our new class topic of Dinosaurs! The children have been learning about whether a dinosaur was a carnivore or a herbivore based on the type of mouth and teeth they had. We also learnt some key facts about ‘what is a dinosaur’. We found out that dinosaurs specifically lived on land and always had ‘tucked in’ legs. The children also had a fantastic time excavating dinosaur eggs!
