Next week's learning:
English: Stone Age Boy. Make predictions. Ask and answer questions about a text. Use a thesaurus to improve my writing. Use adverbials of time and place.
Maths: subtract two numbers across a ten using column subtraction. Add and subtract 2 and 3 digit numbers beginning to the use to column method.
Science: food groups.
Our learning this week:
English: We worked in groups to identify the main points of Nen and the lonely fisherman. The children then planned their own version of the story before writing and editing it.
D.T.: This week, the children built their moving monsters using their designs. They had to make sure part of it moved using air- pneumatics. Once they had finished they presented their product to the rest of the class before evaluating it’s effectiveness. I was very impressed by their independence and creativity.
