Our learning this week:

English: We started reading our new book- The Pied Piper of Hamlin this week. We started the week investigating sharing traditional tales and thinking about their key features. Later in the week the children also worked in groups to organise facts about rats into paragraphs and give them a subheading.

Maths: the children worked together to find unit-fractions (1/3, 1/4, 1/8 etc) of a number of objects using counters and base 10.

P.E. Here the children are wowing me with their tennis skills. I was very impressed with their racket and ball control.

Art: we created our final cityscape monoprints.  We started by creating a print in red ink and then added details with a second print in black later in the week. The children were very proud of their final pieces of artwork.

Music: we had a great music session- adding an accompaniment to The Whole World in His Hands.
