Willow class, 28th – 2nd May 202

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In English this week we will be continuing with our topic of Twelfth Night. In this week we will be thinking about the dialogue for the comic strips and how this can enhance the story.

Maths: In maths this week we will be finishing our topic on Position and Direction before moving on to decimals. In decimals we will be looking at using known facts to add and subtract them.

Science – Our new topic in science is Reproduction. Our first lesson will be looking at sexual reproduction of mammals.

Big Question: Are there any downsides to being a superhero?

Have a look below to see what we‘ve been up to this week:

It has been a fantastic week of Bikeability. The instructors were very complimentary of the children for their attitude, sensibility, effort and manners. Well done Year 5 for receiving such lovely feedback! I know they all worked super hard and made fantastic progress, so well done again.

On such a beautiful day we decided to take our class reading into the outdoor classroom. Can your child tell you all about the confusing story of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night?

In English today we also looked at creating short pieces of drama which focused on the themes of love and appearance within Twelfth Night.
